Origin: Laos
Materials: Hemp
Size: Approx. 28 cm × 95 cm

These fabrics are entirely handmade by Hmong women living in the mountainous regions of Laos.

Each piece is created using a traditional "wax-resist dyeing (Batik)" technique. This involves weaving hand-spun hemp grown by the artisans themselves and then meticulously hand-drawing patterns with melted beeswax using a specialized tool called a "tjanting."

Once the drawing is complete, the fabric is dyed in deep indigo. When the wax is finally removed, the intricate patterns emerge in beautiful white contrast. The subtle variations in the hand-drawn lines and the fine "crackling" effect created during the dyeing process are proof that each piece is a one-of-a-kind treasure.

Note:
・Color Bleeding: Due to the use of natural dyes, some color bleeding or transfer may occur, especially when new. Please be cautious when in contact with light-colored clothing or bags.
・Washing: Please hand wash gently in cold or lukewarm water, separately from other items.
・Handmade Characteristics: As these are made from natural materials and by hand, you may find minor stains, frayed threads, or uneven dyeing. We hope you appreciate these as unique charms of authentic hand-work that cannot be found in mass-produced items.
