Juli, Peru
Material: Tin (recycled)
Approx. 30 cm × 20 cm (size may vary slightly)

This tin cross is made in the town of Juli, located near Lake Titicaca in southern Peru.
Originally crafted as protective talismans to be placed on rooftops, these crosses are now rarely displayed outdoors due to lightning hazards. Today, the tradition is carried on by a single rooftop artisan who continues to create them by hand. Each piece features a unique combination of colors and decorative elements—freely composed yet distinctively shaped by the artist’s touch.
Rooted in daily life, these crosses are a living form of folk art, quietly enduring through time.

Note:
Recycled materials such as tin cans are used. Some pieces may have sharp edges, uneven paint, visible adhesive marks, or signs of rust, all of which are part of the handmade nature and character of the item.

Please also note that the decorative parts are delicate and may come loose during shipping or handling. If this occurs, they can be reattached using regular craft glue.
